Finally, the roads are clear of snow and ice! So that means I am able to run errands today....before the next storm in the forecast for early next week! Oh my! My first stop was the Dollar Tree to pick up the adorable, monster gift bags. After reading about the idea on Babbling Abby's blog, I knew my first graders would love the bags and so would I! Check out
Abby's blog for more information about these cute bags. Her blog inspired my latest addition to our classroom Working with Words Literacy Station.
Clip on the one eyed monster to download the work mats and the short vowel word cards.
Looking for a "monster" Valentine's Day project to compliment the monster theme...
If I have time this week, I will duplicate the file for long vowels. Stay tuned for the update! Have a great weekend!
Girl! I am LOVING your download and your whole blog! Don't you just love DJ Inkers! I should be a spokesperson for that company! HAHA :)

Hi Rachelle! I am super-excited you found something you could use! Thanks for the comment! (My first comment!) I added the long vowel sorting mats and cards. Check out my most recent post.
ReplyDeleteThese are great....I am going to use the activities with my son and with my lower level ESL students. It is sort of similar to "Reading Horizons", except it is a lot easier to follow:-)
ReplyDeleteI had noticed that the long game didn't have long u, and this one doesn't have short u words. Could they possibly be added? Love the games.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Most certainly! Thanks for letting me know! You are simply the best!
