I'm so glad you found something you could use in your classroom! These Valentine Kids are always a favorite of mine! As far as tips for making them, I model, model, model. The only pattern I allow them to use is the pattern for the heart - otherwise, it is their imagination and creativity. I do begin each school year with the students making just their faces for a classroom display and each month we continue to build on this process so when February rolls around, we are "experts" at making ourselves out of paper!
